About the Owners:
Blake Young is a retired teacher and coach who worked and coached in the Alabama School System for over 30 years. He was a member of the first basketball team at Northwest-Shoals CC in 1990-91. After retirement, Blake owned and operated an athletic store selling team uniforms and apparel to schools and athletic teams. He also became an AHSAA official. The store is named in honor of Blake's Grandfather, Woodrow Clemmons, who served our country honorably in World War II, with the 7th Infantry Division of the United States Army. Blake is married to Tonya Helton Young, who was just recently inducted into the Lauderdale County Sports Hall of Fame. She was a member of Central High School's (Florence, AL) only basketball State Championship in 1994. She played 4 season of softball at University of North Alabama, where she was named to the All Gulf South Coast Conference. She returned back to her home school at Central upon graduation and led the Lady Wildcats softball team to over 300 wins in her coaching career. She has spent 25 plus years teaching and coaching in the Alabama School System. Blake and Tonya have two children, Cyrus and Blakely Beth. Shop with confidence at Woodrow's!
